I must admit, that final fight was way easier than the final fight against Duma in Echoes. Maybe because the Duma one made me advance veeeery slowly?

My Robin killed Grima and managed to survive (I think they can actually die?), and I loved Chrom's comment on how things are finally over. And I still have so many things left to do! I wasn't sure if this was like Echoes and there was some kind of post-game, so I made a save just before the last mission to do some more things once I have time:
  • Recruit all those characters from the SpotPass paralogues.
  • Train everyone.
  • Raise everyone support.
  • Get all the kids to marry, because right now the only ones married are Lucina and Iñigo, XD
  • Get all those freshly trained units and their support conversations into the DLC maps.
Now, what to do next, in general? [personal profile] taichara recommended me to wait until I have finished Awakening before playing Echoes' post game, so that's an option, but I also want to play Fates? But Fates is technically three games because of the branching? Goodbye, social life, XD

Thing is, I'm curious about Fates. From what Google tells me, the setting is not the same as Echoes and Awakening, but some Awakening characters appear? I'm intrigued.

I totally don't have 70 hours in Awakening because I started to train everyone like crazy. Panne is totally not a murder machine and Morgan is not my dear murder child.

The Awakening characters in Fates that are the actual Awakening characters and not just expies who happen to kind of look like Awakening characters are Severa (Selena), Inigo (Laslow) and Owain (Odin), if that makes a difference.

Also -- and I say this as someone who is very fond indeed of a (very) few Fates characters -- Fates is a terrible game with a nonsensical setting, incoherent plot (at times mutually incompatible plot/backstory), and bad writing. Also the two main (but ~noncanonical) versions play differently from each other so you should look into which kind of gameplay you want first as well.

(nothing could make Revelations bearable imo.)

If you play Fates: Birthright, you will recruit a character named Kaze. Staple him to your MyUnit's arse and get his A Support as quickly as possible. Trust me on this.
