To write or not to write the thing

artabria There's an anthology looking for short stories (1000 - 5000 words) and I'm thinking on maybe writing something? The theme is the undead. Current ideas:
1) Short story based on a Galician legend.
2) Short story about a woman betrayed by her husband that comes back for revenge.
The challenge here is to try to get as close to 5000 words as possible, even if I don't send it. I always write chapters that are aroun 1500 words, so I want to try to write longer things.
