Downloaded Stranger of Paradise Demo

artabriaMy PS5 arrived today, and one of the things I have been doing today is try out the Stranger of Paradise demo. It's supposed to be a Final Fantasy game with Dark Souls combat. Now... Have I ever played a Dark Souls game? No. Have I ever played a Devil May Cry game? Yes, and the combat so far is giving me DMC vibes. It's not just the combat, the design also kind of reminds me of DMC?
I haven't played a lot so far, just a tiny, tiny bit, but here's some interesting things I have seen so far:
1. I'll check later what word it's being used in English in every piece of Jack's starter gear, but it's "forastero" AKA foreigner/outsider.
2. The screen glitches when you interact with the save points.
3. Apparetly, LOTS of character customization.
4. Gear can attune/sync with the character?
The combat so far feels like fun to me, even if I still have to learn quite a bit about the controls and all the abilities, but it IS fun and I'm probably going to be playing around with the combat until Square takes this demo away from me. My only problem so far? * waves in the general direction of Jack's design * Why, Squeenix, WHY.
