Fire Emblem Three Hopes: The demo so far
Jun. 12th, 2022 10:53 amShort post comparing some mechanics between Three Hopes and Warriors. I will avoid anything relating to the plot, but if someone is curious about how this Three Houses AU happens, just ask.
Returning from Three Houses we have the activity points when you are in base, but there are two kinds. One type is used to train the characters, and the other one is used to raise the support (the options are eating a meal together or an activity around base). You start with a number of points each chapter, and can earn extra ones after finishing a map.
Like in Warriors, you can pay to raise the level of a character, but the training points that I mentioned are used to raise the class level. Once a character masters a class, they can promote (using a seal) to the next level of that class (some have only one option, others have several).
It looks like each Chapter will have several maps that you can replay. Demo allows you to play up until Chapter 4, and I still haven't done the final battle of the demo, so I don't know if you can replay maps from previous chapters.
After Chapter 4, units can also permanently die, if you picked that option.
And finally, crests! The system from Warriors is still around, but it has nothing to do with characters. They're used to improve buildings in the base: training grounds, smith and merchant.
And this may be me being used to my characters in Warriors/that I haven't played Warrios in some months, but I swear that the battles are harder? At the very least, getting that S-rank is harder. I'll check later and edit if needed, but I'm pretty sure that it's less than 15 minutes now.
