I want a plant
Jan. 9th, 2023 08:59 pmFor those that don't know: I'm bad with plants. And by bad I mean "I have killed a cactus" bad, but my new year resolution is that I'm going to have a small plant and it's going to thrieve.
I have been thinking about getting a succulent, so I'll probably will visit the florist this week and see if they have some.
From what I have learned about succulents, apparently they're safe for cats AND... cats don't like succulents because they taste bad, which is perfect, because my mother used to have a plant that the cat destroyed because he just loved to bite it.
I have been looking about the types of succulents, and an echevaria looks pretty (but there are some called sedum that also look interesting!).
My other option for plants is a spider plant, and I know that I won't kill this one because I managed to resurrect one and keep it alive for nearly two years in my previous job. My one and only success. The problem is that I hate spider plants.
Internet also suggest a african violet as a pet-friendly and beginner-friendly plant, but it has one problem: it has FLOWERS. I have never managed to get a plant to flower again.
