Feb. 1st, 2019 10:34 amI generally use the app to check Tumblr, but last night I checked the site version and, damn, now I understand why everyone was protesting. The new colour is a nightmare, it's just a darker shade than the original, but the posts are white and the contrast between both colours is not an experince my eyes enjoy.
The mobile app updated this morning to the new colours, but the desktop in the mobile barely has any blue, so it's not as bad. That said, I'm going to install something in chrome for when I use it (I heard that Xkit has something to fix this).
On other matters, update on my Awakening progress: Why advance in the story when you can train? Leveling healers up in this game is harder than in Echoes. Echoes healers had attack spells, but in Awakening (except for Libra) they can only heal, so I have been fighting zombies and letting my other units get hit so the healers can heal them.
Damn it, Warriors, you made me believe that Lissa had an axe.
I have also used a Second Seal in my Robin to make her a Dark Flier, because you can bet that Morgan is going to have Galeforce and the Rightful King one. Still not sure what class to make him, though.

Date: 2019-02-01 01:48 pm (UTC)I like XII, but the pattern is with FFII -> "second games in series started on the Famicom"
I kind of liked the whole "we'll tell you if you go in the wrong direction by killing you".
And the whole thing with leveling stats. Want to get better at sword? Use the sword. More health? Get nearly killed, you coward.
I can get why they changed things for the next games, but the stat system is fun.
And, omg, the EMPEROR. He dies, his ligh side goes to Heaven. His light side takes over Heaven. Greatest addition to a game ever, XD

Date: 2019-02-01 01:53 pm (UTC)The pattern is also "the second game does things that the series then backs away from, at least for some time" -- although the system in FFII does wander its way over to be the core of the SaGa games! X3
