April is here
Apr. 4th, 2021 01:35 pm Well, Shaman King's reboot has started. I have discovered that it's going to be on Netflix at some point, so the question is: do I watch with fansubs or with a proper translation?
Also, I'm a bit concerned because the new anime is going to be shorter than the old anime, but somehow still include all the content from the manga? The only way I can think of them acomplishing this is if they rush things in the anime.
On reading news, I have managed to start reading again! I have recently finished reading Sunshine, by Robin McKinley. Missed reading vampire romance, although I wish this had a bit more romance (it's not bad, it's just that I wanted more vampire romance). Now I'm reading Vengeful, by VE Schwab.
Rule of Wolves is out, and I'm not sure if I want to read it. There's talk that Bardugo has done the same thing as Aveyard AKA author creates a love triangle where one of the love interests is the villain of the story -> part of the fandom likes the Enemies to Lovers trope -> Author hates the fandom not liking the proper ship and does something about it in their book.
I didn't expect the Enemies to Lovers ship to ever happen, but I was kind of hoping that Aveyard's kind of writing in War Storm wasn't going to happen again.
Maybe I'm overthinking this, I don't know.
But, seriously, what did Aveyard expect when she made the villain a love interest?
