12 years later after the beginning of the book got leaked, Stephenie Meyer is now publishing Midnight Sun AKA Twilight, but from Edward's point of view.

From the article:

"Publisher Little, Brown said the book would see Meyer draw "on the classic myth of Hades and Persephone"."

"an epic novel about the profound pleasures and devastating consequences of immortal love".

I'm still trying to figure out where's the Hades and Persephone trope in Twilight and where's the profound pleasure when the only time anything sexy happens is in the fourth book.

I don't know if I want to check it out. My inner teen wants to finally read Midnight Sun, and I'm curious about how her writing has changed since Twilight. On the other hand... I reall, really don't like Twilight.

PS: The article.

If you're that conflicted I'd recommend finding the old leaked pages and if you're still interested in the book after reading the leak then you have your answer.

I love the genderbent version. It's so weird to read. I will tell you that it's hardly edited from Twilight except for the beginning and the end. Most of the book is pretty much the same.

And I think I found the leaked chapters again here if you wanted to give it a read.
