I think I missed the announcement on Inuyasha. Is this a manga sequel or anime only? Sounds cool though; the music is always fantastic! (Also, didn't realize he had daughters! I'm behind. XD)
Anime only, as far as I know. It's about the kids of the original characters. And, yeah, Sesshomaru also had kids: Towa and Setsuna.
The daughters are supposed to be hanyous, so the mother is human... Which is why I fear that Sesshomaru/Rin happened, which is one of my NOTPs. My only hope right now that that ship didn't happen is that both of his daughters have a strip of red in their hair, and anime logic says that the mother had red hair, xD
Inuyasha's and Kagome's kid is called Moroha, and she's the same age as her cousins (14 years). So I'm adding that to my list of "please, not Rin". Because otherwise Kagome and Inuyasha took forever to have a kid.
... Then again, Souta is the one that raises Towa (things happen and she falls down the well), so I have no idea of what's actually going on with the timeline, xD
If it's anime only and the ship does happen, I would just blissfully stick with the manga and say "no." XD I've certainly done that when there are two versions of something and one of them disappoints me. But you are totally correct: anime logic dictates the mother must have red hair in this case. There is no other option.
It kind of does sound like a confusing timeline; hopefully it gets cleared up!
