 Nintendo Direct is over and now I'm off to download Octopath 2 I mean, Project Triangle Strategy's demo.

Maybe it won't be called Octopath 2, because it's a TRPG, but it does look a lot like Octopath.

A friend of mine said Square had announced something called Project Triangle Strategy and I thought he was joking. Just give things normal names, Square!

In their defense, it's the name of the project, not the name of the game, xD

It's pretty blatantly a new Tactics Ogre, or a further evolution from the Ogre franchise. The morality+consequences and the branching moral-behavioural paths combined with the srpg and war elements basically confirm it.

I have never played those games, so I'll take your word for it.

From the demo so far, definitely a nu!Tactics Ogre-type; I think this one will come highly recommended if they hold steady *grin*

I have heard that the demo is fun, so I'm going to try to check it this weekend.

Of course, it's going to be horrible if I like it, because it's probably not coming out until next year (at least).

They say 2022, but I'd rather an estimate like that one while we're still in the middle of a plague -- and to avoid some of the jankiness that BD2 had in the first demo and frankly still has now.

The demo's good so far, though.
