"Nearly" done with Part 1 of Final Fantasy 7. Yuffie has been recruited and I've finished the Gold Saucer area plot line, so now it's time to go to Gongaga. Things that went through my mind:

1. It still amuses me that Sephiroth wasn't satisfied with just killing the Midgar Zolom, he also felt the need to impale the snake in a tree.

2. The Nibelheim flashback, when they're in the reactor. Sephiroth is supposed to be a tall guy, but he still needs to jump to reach the pod's window and my hearts knows that, had it been possible, he would have been kicking his little legs while looking into the pod.

3. I'm pretty sure that my Aerith can beat Cloud right now. At the very least, she's dealing more damage than him.

4. Forever laughing at Flying!Sephiroth at the ship.

I have also advanced a bit in Dissidia Opera Omnia, and now I'm halfway through Chapter 3 (Act 2, that's it). I have decided to ignore everything else in the game until I catch up with the story... Which probably means that I should do the same and catch up with the story in Fire Emblem Heroes, but I'm not that invested in that one. Honestly, I mostly play that game for the rythm mini-game, ^^U

Believe me, you aren't missing jack in what passes for FEH's "story".

And now I wish I could remember how the reactor pod scene went in Crisis Core, lol X3

That's what I thought I remembered, but memory is a tricky thing and all ~

And in a perfect world Genesis and all the nonsense attached to him is left in a very deep plothole, never to be seen again >.>

Genesis (and Angeal for that matter) can bugger right off into the sunset, because all of their nonsense with the G-cells and all the rest completely undermines how in the original story Sephiroth is a unique case. Even his breakdown is cheapened by 1) chasing around "monsters" for years before that and 2) his having been, in CC, pointed at the knowledge by that twat Genesis instead of even discovering it accidentally and on his own.

A very deep and very dark plothole to never return, says I.
